Have you ever seen water run uphill? Ben Roberson can make it do that, and he'll be happy to show you. He and his wife, Mary, bought Big Mill, also known as Daniel Staton Mill, in 1995 from heirs of Columbus and Sadie James. Although it has been out of business for over 40 years, Ben looks for any excuse to see it operate again. Maybe that's because he fondly remembers watching corn being ground up into meal there when he was just a boy. Stop by for a visit and see how really good cornbread starts out. Ben loves to see the look of fascination in visitors' eyes. Children–young and old–are welcome to take a tour and visit. Please give Ben a call to arrange for this special experience. |
