The Francis Manning Room of the Martin County Historical Society |
This rich resource located in the Martin Community College Library has drawn visitors and researchers from across the United States and even from as far away as England, Scotland and Germany. The late Francis Manning, editor of the local newspaper, collected most of the information during his lifetime and donated it to The Martin County Historical Society. Local, regional and historical information from this collection aids those doing genealogical and other historical research for books, articles, dissertations and personal interests. Visitors are delighted at the collection of old phototgraphs, as well. The Francis Mannning Room is listed on the North Carolina ECHO-Exploring Cultural Heritage Online web site. Contact Doris Wilson for more information. |
