Originally, one of the many riverside fishing shacks where local men cooked, played cards and socialized. The Cypress Grill now attracts visitors from around the country who stand in line with the locals for fried fish and roe. The Grill has been featured in Southern Living and Smithsonian magazines. Open January through April, coinciding with the annual herring run. Located on the riverbank. Head north on Stewart St. and "go down the hill."
